In Unit 7 of Everyday Math:
- children revisit combinations of 10 to answer questions like, what must I add to 4 to get 10? They then extend this to larger numbers like, what must I add to 47 to get to 50?
- they also begin to add more than two addends, such as 14+2+6+12
- students learn to use yards and meters to measure longer distances. They also develop some personal references to estimate distances.
- children represent real-life data in tables, graphs, and line plots
